We were broke, so we were planning to walk from Paddington thru the bloody huge Hyde Park then to Oxford street and finally to Contiki's office at Russell Sq. Its only less than half way thru Hyde Park and i am D-E-A-D, and there is more to come............ a looooooong way more to go before our final destination.
For the first time, I didnt enjoy shopping. Even after i have fulfilled my craving for some really good kidney pie, i was not at all satisfied. I was not even tempted as i walked pass shops after shops along Oxford street. I just wanna get to Contiki soon and have some good rest. I need a CHAIR!!
When we were finally at Contiki, it was like heaven. Erm.. actually not that nice, its jus a very nice resting place on our way to heaven la! hmm... Me know not what i tokking about le, cos me jus VVVVV tired. Honestly, i think i got tired/exhausted/walking drunkness. Look at the following pics we took at Contiki:
Perhaps its really true what mel said: I am more sober when i am drunk. I am perpetually drunk when not drinking.
This is so insulting la! "MIND YOUR HEAD"!! Are u kidding me. There was at least 50cm leeway even after i place my water bottle on my head. And not forgetting the fact that British guys are short the sign was not at all neceessarry! After meeting the Swiss and Germans, we can only say British guys are puny!

Can't recall what church it is.. i shall just call it the church of Salisbury! The main purpose of today's s$100+ trip is definitely not for the church but to visit one of the Seven Wonders: Stonehenge!

Here we are at stonehenge! Though i remained perplex on why it is there, it is just cool that i have visited it. Who cares about the history for now. Nways, archaeologist are still uncovering the past of the stonehenge. Let's wait till it is finally done then i will go read about it in the future and given that i have the time!
We long heard of the the famous Fish 'n' Chips back home at the Sunny Singapore. We were tired after all the walking and have been craving for it so it was decided that we will look for some authentic London Fish 'n' Chips. I recalled Sharon telling me that she tried a not-too-bad Fish 'n' Chips from Waterloo and since we were already there, we shall just try our luck searching for the nice Fish 'n' Chips store near the station. the 3 hungry souls combed the whole station and asked some guys before it was concluded that: the shop which Sharon recommended was not within the station!
We went out of the station and the place seems like a CBD area, all the shop looks kinda chic and expensive, so i wondered if the shop Sharon visited will be costly as she was travelling with her parents. Parents have a more generous budget!!!
We saw a museum, some arts centre then THE EYE OF LONDON... its picture first before the food hunt
Then we passed some really trendy looking restaurants occupied with well-dressed diners before we gave up the hunt and headed back to the station! This was when we saw a shop which seems to fit the bill: near Waterloo, almost a corner shop and it sells fish 'n' chips!
We stood outside the shop elated that we found THE Fish 'n' Chips of Waterloo and its cheap too. Once we have decided on what to eat and was heading to the counter to make an order for the long awaited meal, the girl behind the counter started waving to us and said something i didn't quite understand. I was not too sure if it was selective hearing on my part or her accent was too strong, but i was certain that my hopes were DASHED after i deciphered what she has just said. "Our shop is closing and we will not be taking any orders...!"
We left Waterloo utterly dissappointed... but u should have imagined our joy when we happen to chance upon a Fish 'n' Chips store while we were heading to BK.

Sam too had a chance to try London's Fish 'n Chip, though not wrapped in newspaper, when we met him after his briefing with Contiki! We saw him while he was waiting to cross the road and save that boy from spending his money at some filthy-rich, money-making, wellknown, multinational and unhealthy fast-food restaurant which was none other than BK!!

We went shopping at Harrolds!! That is after we have waited at the Buckingham Palace and get all "art-ified" at Albert and Victoria Museum.

Since we can't afford it we shall jus snap it, but the bears are just too adorable and expensive for us! Hmm... i am wondering if the bag i bought are more expensive than that in Singapore....

This is going to sound like v bimbotic but i honestly and seriously thought that Tower Bridge was London Bridge!!

I see Tower Bridge in pics of people who have visited London. Even in movies when they wanna show that a scene is indeed film in London, they will have Big Ben or Tower Bridge in the background!!!!!!
So.... Tower Bridge should be THE London Bridge

Look.. The real London Bridge is such a disappointment
That is what we had for dinner after a long walk along Thames!
14 pieces of Chicken
6 Packets of Fries
2 One-litre Pepsi
1 small coleslaw
1 small potato

And how many of us were there for dinner????
=FOUR=
How we did that?
We have 2 hungry young man who ate 5 chicken each!!

I still can’t get over St Gallen! So far the company has been great and when I say company I am just referring to the few which u will see so often in the future pics. While waiting for our flight to London, we had an enjoyable time devising ways to make a budget air truly budget. I have never sat on a budget air so I have no idea what it will be like and no expectation of any sort w.r.t it!
As far as I am concern, I was just totally freaked out with their strict weight limit on all luggages. I came to Swiss with 29.9Kg and I am expected to leave with 20kg. Thus it just meant that I will have to consume and throw away 9.9kg worth of stuff!!!!! We were being the most typical Singaporeans as we were among the first in line to check in, and I am not sure if that was a good idea at all since more than ¾ of the passengers from our flight will be standing behind us and probably cursing at us for stalling the queue.
I was among the last of us to check in and I had just witness that perv paying nearly S$70 for exceeding the limit by 5kg despite his unconvincing pleas. Hurriedly we weigh my luggage before it was my turn and it turn out to be 23kg!!! I have utilized every single space of my hand luggage, had 3 jackets on me and maximized every available pocket, which include tucking my 0.7l water bottle into my inner packet of the jacket. I probably weigh a ton and in full gear to go to North Pole.
In desperation, I have no other alternative but to open my luggage and dug out more stuff. All thanks to Mel who shared some of my load (chargers, adapters and toiletries) the new reduced weight of my luggage is 21.6kg. That is perfectly alright since the friend I am checking in only had a 19kg luggage.
Wahaha… with my pleasant smile and together with our charm, we were able to check in without a fine. Unlike some snobbish perv!
heeheeheee
It is good to not have any expectation. The plane was delayed by almost an hour. The whole experience of taking a budget air is really fascinating. First, we got to witness the landing and parked right in front of us, then the ‘evacuation’ of the passengers and the process of unloading the cargos. We also witness how they dump our luggage into the plane, as u can see the pave of a projectile motion from the hands of the staff onto the conveyer. By then, it is time to herd us up into the plane. I am not sure about the process but I just knew it was free seating so I had to avoid seating near the perv. Did I mention that his cologne or whatever scent he is excreting totally stinks? Yes, that is another reason for my escapade.
Safe and free from the perv, I sat at a window seat and next to the wings. The steward hurried us to settle down as they are already running late and after the head count we were instructed on the safety procedures should there be any emergency. It is the first time that I was attentive and actually trying to learn how to operate the life jacket. I know that, cos I was actually trying to decipher the strong british accent and understand what was being said. I see such need as the plane was not exactly huge and neither was it in a tip-top condition with visible rusty nails on the wings. Sam was also not of exactly any help with the exaggerated scenario of a possible plane crash.
Know it’s a very long entry but this is just the beginning of my trip so I am still quite energized!
This is what u get from depriving us of authentic asian food for a month!
Feeling sleepy after a good meal with the train is still no where in sight...

It is the last day of the programme today and this is probably the last entry before I return to Singapore. Basically, I just miss St Gallen and I have no wish to leave here and go on tour with the perv. Think I will end here, since I am using the school`s computer and it is really difficult to type as the keyboard is very different. I cant find exclamation mark all the other stuff, it is not the typical QWERT keyboard which we uses.... damn

Wei will love this place. They have this street that sells all the streetwear, but it is the sneakers that is really cool man! (yo yo... check it out... bleah) Although it is not as cheap as those in Hong Kong but the designs are very different from what they can offer in Singapore and Hong Kong.

can u spot the checked black and white Vans?
Puma is rather huge here at Swiss and they have very nice designs here la... I am so tempted to buy a puma. I just see the shoes everywhere i go and at every shop i enter. It is terribly difficult to resist the temptation. The only reason and the main reason why i am able to resist it is that it will cost me a whopping S$200 or more for a pair of puma sneakers! I can't afford it and i will not pay for that price la. My budget for sneakers is just S$100 and below. That price is just twice my budget.

a pretty but expensive chocolate shop!
me equipped with all my loot from the shopping: necklace, belt, lanyard and lollipop

There is a perv in our group!!!!!! U girls should be more worried about my safety now than my drinking habit. The guy will be one of those who we will be travelling with.
He(perverted pig) has irritated us by snapping tons of photos unneccessarily and asking stupid qns. Sometimes his camera is just hanging around his neck, held at his tubby and he will take your picture without ur knowledge! There was once at Reuter he asked if they have spies, then at the lab of a pharmaceutical company La Roche he asked if they can clone in the lab!?!? Most importantly he was very serious about his silly qns at all times! The next one thing that really annoys Mel is the fact that he shakes his legs non-stop. He was just shaking his trots on the one hour train ride from St Gallen to Zurich.
We had plans to destroy his $1k++ camera or perhaps his pics:
Plan1:Pig will ask us to take pictures for him. Then we will kindly help him take a picture, after which we will return the camera to him. As the camera touches his hand... it shall slip and drop!!! *smasssshhhhh* since he already touches the camera, we will not be liable for the camera! :P
Plan2:All those in specs shall do the following whenever his camera is facing us...

However, the main story of this entry will involve the disgusting pig and the bimbo mentioned earlier. Basically, he was on his routine snapping pictures with his ultra huge camera and that bimbo was wearing a ultra short and slightly translucent white skirt. The bimbo happens to be walking up a flight of steps, and at the same time the pig dug out his super duper 10X zoom camera and pointed his lens towards where the bimbo was. The bimbo (surprisingly) witness all this and was freaked out! Thus she tripped and fell with a shreaking yeeeeeelp.....
The story just spread like fire and we started to wonder what kind of photos he has been taking all this while. It just scares the shit out of us la... He is staying with a very innocent (or so he claims) boy, and asked if he wanted to see his collection of porn video. That poor boy was soooo freaked out!!!
This trip is getting so exciting and in the mean time, me and mel is planning ways to avoid the people whom we will be travelling with after the programme!

I am so glad that I am only here for a 1 month exchange, if not I so think I will not make it back to Singapore without being a addict. I think i have been drinking a lot this week. When I said a lot it means a damn bloody whole lot of alcohol. I just drank the Bacardi and vodka like soda, actually I drank more of those than I ever did with water. I went to the toilet 6 times just within 1 night.
PLEASE reprimand me or something, cos I think it is a really bad habit which I should not start. I wanna stop this soon cos they have party almost every other night, the temptation is very bad and it is made worse when my classmates just kept asking why I didn’t attend it! I have resisted it till this week when we had a 4 day holiday and at both times it was suppose to be gathering (or so I heard). I just felt so bad and sinful… :<

Shi Hui is back from Geneva with more pics
see bottom.
The lecturers can get really boring here and thus it created an opportunity for me to get to know my St Gallen classmate and manage to dig out more information of the geek too :p
Here is the abstract of the conversation soon after he ask me who we didn’t like in the group:
Shi: Is there anyone from ur side which u guys can’t really get along with??Marco: Volker (a German guy who ask lotsa of qns in class) is kind of special…. But he is quite nice. Then he paused for a while and continued…
Carl (the geek guy!!!) is boring/sleepy/lame… So what u think?Shi: Carl is a geek so that sort of behaviour is expected from him!Marco: Geek??? *looking confused*Shi: Nerd!! (then he started giggling.. well actually it was more of smiling cheekily since we were in class)
I kind of pity my geek now. He is so not well liked!!! Poor thing…

After staring at the pics for a looooooooonnnnnng time, i don't think he is that goodlooking le!

We sort of force him to take this stupid pic with me and he kindly oblige.
Mad girl on the run...
This is the beautiful place where all the crappy pics are taken.

That is how geeks stand and this pic is taken outside the geek room at the hotel!!!

It is the same all over the world! May it be in Singapore or Swiss, cool cars are always driven by ugly drivers!
The highest foutain in the world! Although i have no idea what is that for la... I think it is one of those useless stuff which government loves to spend on.
One of the many failed attempts to take a pic of Mel's eye candy(in red)!

Salad: Veg with Mayo in the tube
Soup: Campbell's instant soup
Bread: Just some super hard bread
Meat: Cheap budget picnic ham
This is the menu for our dinner! A very balance diet...

A tall German guy and a super hot italian babe who taught us German!
We feel kind of short here, cos almost everyone else is at least one head taller than us! The Geek(not the guy in this pic) is 1.90m in height!!! So Weiling, u might wanna consider about being Mrs Geek :>
