Just as I thought my life was finally back to norm. It just got rather depressing these days. My friends are either having exams, working or, worse . . . overseas and having a great time. I needed some form of therapy to convince me that it is not that bad back home.

In fact, it is not that tough afterall! All I needed is a true blue kopitiam food therapy. Orh Lua (oyster omelet) is all it takes to make me appreciate Singapore! Besides the food some kopitiam talk is also necessary. I really felt like some ah-peks as we talk about everything under the sun, bread and butter issue and nearly intellectual topics.

Topic 1: Overseas
Reminisce about the days when we were abroad and gloating over the fact that St Gallen is warmer then usual! HAHAHAHAHAHA . . .. :< .

Topic 2: Religion
Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise have definitely kept us interested in the so-called religion known as Scientology. We kind of pity Katie Holmes that she has endure a silent birth, thinking that she has to bear all the pain and is refrain from making any noises. However, from our researched it shows that silent birth need not necessary means total silence, it just means that Katie cannot utter a single word which literally means NO WORD. Thus some moaning will be allowed. But I wondered if “ahhhhhhh”, “ohhhhhhhh” and “ouch” are considered as words under Scientology.

Topic 3: Career and Religion (particularly catholic)
Have any of you given thoughts about pursuing a career in the traditional Chinese art craft catered for the dead? It is a rather lucrative business! A 3-storey bungalow, made of rattan, paper, and glue, can fetch a few K! Do the maths and decide if it is indeed profitable. The business has expanded from landed properties, maid agencies and motor industries to aviation and massage chair!

However one may consider it extremely a sinful career for a Catholic since it is equivalent of violating the 2nd commandment:

"Thou shall have no other gods besides Me... Do not make a sculpted image or any likeness of what is in the heavens above..."

I tried to convince Mel that it is merely a craft and you are just respecting your neighbour’s religion. Even if it means creating a sculpture, she is not the one worshipping it. However, the above reasoning seems lame and if a Catholic is seriously considering this as a career do seek the advice form the priest and tell me what the stand of the church is. ( Sadly, I honestly doubt they will approve to it. . .)

Topic 4: Politics
Hee. . . .How can a kopitiam talk be without our fav topic! But nothing shall be mentioned here since I do not want a fate similar to that Chee. . . so suay la. I do not have enough money to post an apology on major papers or provide money your progress package! lol

The above is as much as i can get from living in Singapore. . . for now :>

I got up from the seat after an hour and it was just ouch~~~~~. My back is aching.
I had support my back with my hands as I make my way to the toilet.

I am either studying too hard or ageing real fast.

It is 10:30 on a nice Sunday morning, I am sitting in one of the group study room(GSR) eating the sandwiches I prepared last night!!

I am just glad that this sandwich tasted much better than the one we made last time.... The last time when it was the beginning of the trip and we were still very committed to save some money but eventually succumbed to sandwiches sold by the locals, or basically just any food which will taste better than our own.

Ahh. . .It reminds me of the good old days at Switzerland, it was never a day without sandwich and the air felt as cool as the chilly air-con of the gsr but with was much more warmth and comfort then, since I was not preparing for any exams!
